oatmeal healthy cookies are one type of cookies that i have changed up to be a bit more healthy than normal. the method of making these tasty cookies is different and very easy. after developing this recipe, i have made them many times. these oats cookies are also on the healthier side as they are made with.

it's almost impossible to turn down cookies of any kind! but it when it comes to these easy oatmeal cookies i am in food heaven. they are simple to thrown together, and you don't even need to feel guilty when eating them because they are much healthier than traditional oatmeal cookies. because they are sweetened with honey or maple syrup depending on your preference sugars. that is a huge advantage.

there are so many fantastic health benefits to eating oatmeal. adding oats to your diet is an a healthy way to get more fiber, magnesium, iron, zinc folate, protein and much more. plus, they are an excellent source of antioxidants too. in addition to all the nutrients and antioxidants, oatmeal is naturally gluten-free. so if you eat a gluten-free diet, you can easily add them in. it is important to note that if you are  gluten-free that make sure that they are certified gluten-free because otherwise there could have been some gluten cross-contamination.


Which Ingredients Needs For Healthy Oats Cookies:

Honey;

these oatmeal cookies are perfectly sweet with a little bit of honey or maple syrup. its depend on your choice .

coconut oil:

coconut oil or butter you can use which is your choice but make sure  the coconut oil or butter are melted when preparing the oatmeal cookies.

instant oats:

to get the best texture and flavor combination, reach for instant oats over old fashioned oats.

Egg:

one large egg will do the trick and bind the wet and dry ingredients together beautifully.

cinnamon and salt: 

there is just something amazing about combining cinnamon with oats. its match made in heaven. and also bring out the sweetness with a dash of salt.

Nuts and raisins:

when it come to add- in , i have tried a variety of ideas. raisins, chopped nuts and walnuts and pecan are my favorites. but you can choose anything you like  to made it more healthy.
 

chocolate chips:

adding chocolate as a topping makes the cookies almost sinful. you can skip if you don't like chocolate chips. its on your choice.

Recipe:

Soft and chewy healthy oats cookies are made with oats, honey, coconut oil, chopped nuts and raisins an much more. these are super nutritious and make a great snack and or even breakfast and also good for weight loss diet as a snack.

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup can use 1/2 cup for sweeter cookies.
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil or unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup instant oats
  • 1/2 whole wheat flour
  • 1tbsp baking powder
  • 1tbsp cinnamon powder
  • 1/4 tbsp  salt
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/ cup raisins

notes:

you can add 1/4 cup of chopped pecans, walnuts, cranberries or your favorite add-ins in a place of raisins.

Instructions:

  1. preheat the oven with parchment paper, foil or silicon baking mat and set a side
  2. in a large bowl, whisk the honey, coconut oil, egg and vanilla. in a medium bowl whisk all dry ingredients then stir them into wet mixture.
  3. drop cookies dough onto the prepared baking sheet using a medium large cookie scoop and flatten to about 3/4 thickness.
  4. bake 10 minutes to allow in the pan for at least 5-10 minutes and enjoy.
